Behind the Scenes #3 - Real Lizards and Not-Real birds
there are so many wonderful things in this world. this bird is not one of them.
Hello, friends. Welcome to the 3rd edition of Behind the Scenes, or, as I like to call it, under the hush of twilight, in the firefly-laden humidity of night. Life is wacky and never stops for those of us in the wilderness of work and community and child-raising. And that is okay. Life is life. It is abundance and joy.
Lately, I feel like a lizard on the road, just out for the warmth of the sun but scurrying back to safety when cars come by. We have a lot of lizards here. Our rainy season crashed upon us with a lot of drama, and everything living has come in close. There are gorgeous blue-headed lizards and, of course, geckos and touquays. Lately, I have seen many of these little, bendy guys with big eyes. The ones that look like they are always doing yoga poses? You know? Yes yes? No?
Speaking of life, someone really needs to stop making AI birds and posting them as the beauty of God’s creation. You are confusing the aunties. Stop it now.
