What a wonderful piece of writing. Blessings upon you and your daughter - and sons, too. I pray for them - and you - a life that unfolds with kindness, laughter, delight, gratitude and wonder.
Painful timing. My 22 yr old is moved in with a controlling stranger who worked hard in 7 months to convince her we are evil and he is her saviour! She caught the bait being the compassionate person we raised in a loving home. We hold our breaths and pray, fighting to remain connected yet our words are twisted and meanings of malevolence are prescribed on the most benign..Faith and letting go keep changing place. Trust that it will be well. Anxiety that it might not. On and off. Hope and hopelessness doing a hopscotch.. black/white squares!!
Thank you so much Rachel. I feel your genuine empathy. I relished your article on Kenya because i shall always rejoice with those that rejoice and mourn with them that mourn.
I am so very sorry to hear this. I pray the higher power that is in charge of her life - and yours - will shape events for her highest and best, and you will be reunited. From your present trials, may there be many blessings. I am not a Christian, but I believe in God, and I know every miracle is possible when we release our troubles to the benevolent shaping force that watches over us and guides us. May all be well.
Ooh Alexander, your response to my plight is so touching. Nothing beats the feeling of being supported in tough times..Humanity at its best. There is a saying that a joy shared is multiplied and a sorrow shared is diminished!!

It sounds so hard. There are no words for how hard this season of parenting can be. Praying for your daughter to have clarity and truth.
